Oxford University Institute of Advanced Study purchases our PULVERIZER 80 high-energy ball mill
The Oxford Institute for Advanced Study (Suzhou) is the first natural sciences and engineering research center established by the University of Oxford overseas, mainly expanding the research work of the Mathematics, Physics, and Life Sciences departments of the University of Oxford.
The establishment of the research institute benefited from the support of Suzhou Industrial Park. Suzhou Industrial Park has advanced facilities, numerous universities, research institutions of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and important industrial bases. The research environment is excellent, providing strategic support for Oxford University's research.
Establishing a laboratory in Suzhou Industrial Park will promote Oxford University scholars to strengthen existing partnerships and establish new connections, which will be beneficial for research projects and the development of technologies closer to market demand. Through these partnerships, the research institute can provide solutions to major challenges for the UK, China, and even the world.
Mauro Pasta
Associate Professor of Materials Science at Oxford University
Professor Mauro Pasta is employed in the Department of Materials Science at the University of Oxford and serves as the academic leader of the Oxford Institute for Advanced Study (Suzhou). Professor Pasta's research areas include energy and catalysis, such as next-generation solid-state electrolytes, lithium batteries, novel electrode materials, clean energy (hydrogen energy obtained through electrochemical catalysis), and single atom catalytic reactions. Professor Pasta's main research focus in Suzhou will be on lithium batteries and clean energy obtained through electrocatalysis.
